Community Rules
The Psycho.farm community is for educational discussion only — de-identified cases, no protected health information, and never for emergencies.
1. Educational Purpose
The Psycho.farm community is for educational discussion only. It is not medical advice, clinical supervision, formal consultation, risk-management advice, legal advice, psychotherapy, or emergency support.
The community may include clinicians, trainees, patients, family members, caregivers, and members of the general public. Psycho.farm does not verify clinician status unless expressly stated. Do not assume any participant is a licensed clinician.
2. No Patient-Specific Advice
Do not use the community to request or provide patient-specific treatment instructions. Do not ask other users what should be done for an identifiable patient. Do not rely on community posts as a substitute for clinical judgment, supervision, consultation, institutional policies, guidelines, or legal obligations.
3. De-Identified Case Discussion Only
Users may discuss de-identified clinical scenarios for educational purposes. De-identification must be robust enough that the patient or third party could not reasonably be identified.
Do not post:
- Patient names.
- Initials.
- Exact dates.
- Exact ages if identifying.
- Exact locations.
- Faces or photographs.
- Record numbers.
- Portal messages.
- Screenshots from charts.
- Prescription images.
- Lab reports.
- Hospital names if identifying.
- Rare combinations of facts.
- Any details that could identify a patient, family member, clinician, or third party.
4. No PHI
Do not post protected health information or patient-identifying information. If you are unsure whether something is identifying, do not post it.
5. No Emergencies
Do not use the community for emergencies, urgent clinical decisions, suicide-risk assessment, crisis planning, or real-time safety decisions.
If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for mental-health crisis support.
6. Professional Conduct
Users must communicate respectfully. Do not post harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech, personal attacks, spam, solicitation, defamation, unlawful content, sexually explicit content, or infringing content.
7. Conflicts and Recommendations
If you recommend a product, service, book, app, platform, course, treatment center, drug, device, company, or paid resource and you have a financial, professional, or personal relationship with it, disclose that relationship.
8. No Anonymous or Pseudonymous Posting
Unless Psycho.farm expressly states otherwise, users may not post anonymously or pseudonymously.
9. Moderation
Psycho.farm may remove, edit, restrict, or preserve posts; suspend or terminate accounts; or take other action when we believe content violates these rules or creates legal, privacy, safety, professional, community, or operational risk.
Posts may be removed without notice.
10. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your posts, comments, and use of the community. You are responsible for complying with your professional obligations, licensure rules, institutional policies, confidentiality duties, HIPAA obligations, and applicable law.
